In August 2017, training and workshop were organized for camp-based refugee staff and farmers under the Agricultural Program.
The workshop was organized for 2 days, on August 9, in Ban Mai Nai Soi camp for 10 refugee staff: 6 male and 4 female, and on August 10 in Ban Mae Surin camp for 5 staff: 4 male and 1 female.The contents of workshop concern soil fertility test, receipts and expenses recording, seeds distribution record and mushroom cultivation.

Advanced Agricultural Training of Trainers
Later, on August 14-18, 2017, COERR Mae Hong Son organized the Advanced Agricultural Training of Trainers’ course for those who passed the Basic and Refresher Agricultural Trainings at Ban Mai Nai Soi refugee camp, in which there were 20 participants of 16 female and 4 male attending.
The 5 day-training focused on group-working that encouraged them to brainstorm their ideas for problem solving discussion and come up with knowledge and guidelines that can be used as teaching guides.

Trainees Practicing Soil Fertility Test
In August, certificates were handed over to 40 farmers who finished Basic Organic Agriculture Training: 20 in Ban Mae Surin and 20 in Ban Mai Nai Soi; and 117 who finished the Refreshers’ Organic Agriculture Training: 60 in Ban Mae Surin and 57 in Ban Mai Nai Soi camp.
